Pesach Newsletter

Dear Friends of JETS,

Pesach is the holiday of freedom. It is a time when we break out of our past limitations, our past narratives. It is the time when we change our personal story from “I can’t” to “I will.” So this holiday, let us celebrate the freedom and empowerment that JETS has given to so many of our youth.

“Without JETS, I don’t know where I would have ended up,” Boruch* says.

Boruch was struggling in the system. He didn’t find the learning to be interesting and inspiring, so he acted up. And his teachers responded with punishments instead of love and support. He was kicked out of school. His parents felt helpless as they watched their son’s downward spiral.

Then they found JETS. At JETS, Boruch realized how much his teachers cared. No one was judging him. No one was pressuring him. They wanted to help him succeed.

Boruch began getting up early, going to classes, paying attention. He found that he was actually inspired by the Judaic studies. He learned valuable skills, such as time management and personal finance. He made friends. He discovered a trade that he loved and could excel at.
Today, Boruch is a successful real estate agent. But as busy as he is, he still makes time for learning every day. He gives back to his community. And he credits his success to JETS.

JETS gave Boruch confidence, skills and a network of people who supported his transition into the working world. But perhaps most importantly, JETS gave Boruch the freedom to be who he could be.

We believe in meeting our students where they’re at.

Instead of trying to mold boys to fit into the system, we’ve created an educational program that is customized for each student. We help students find the niche that they excel in, and then give them the tools to succeed in that area.

By giving youth the tools they need to survive and thrive in the real world, we empower young men to make a difference. To lead meaningful lives. To be success stories. We have changed the narrative for our boys. And we’re just getting started.

From all of us at JETS, may you be blessed with happiness, prosperity, peace and good health. And may you experience true personal freedom from all limitations.

Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy Pesach!
